Ken, a popular player and coach, died on Tuesday, October 11, at the age of 78, from an apparent heart attack. Since Adam Johnson’s tragic death in a ‘freak accident’ on the rink last week, all eyes have been on ice hockey. Johnson, a Nottingham Panthers player, died after being hurt during a game against the Sheffield Steelers on October 28. An inquest into the death of an ice hockey player, who died at the Sheffield Arena last weekend, has opened today. Nottingham Panthers player Adam Johnson passed away after an incident on the ice against the Sheffield Steelers on Saturday night. A coroner has offered her “sincere condolences” to his family and friends. The 29-year-old American was playing for the Panthers against Sheffield Steelers on Saturday when he was seriously injured.
