Scottish Open: Gary Wilson defeats Noppon Saengkham to win once more.
Gary Wilson won the Scottish Open title with a 9-5 victory over Thailand’s Noppon Saengkham. Despite not liking Edinburgh, Wilson admitted to Eurosport that he felt comfortable and happy in certain places. He collected £80,000 and keeps hold of the Stephen Hendry Trophy. Saengkham, ranked six places below Wilson at world number 26, fought back to 7-4 and 8-5 before Wilson clinched the victory. Wilson was proud of his performance and thanked his family for standing by him. Saengkham also praised Wilson for controlling the game. Wilson’s victory means he collects £80,000 and keeps hold of the Stephen Hendry Trophy.
