Grayson Waller has a message for ‘Dwayne’ amidst talk The Rock could work WWE Australia show
Nobody has officially confirmed that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will work the Elimination Chamber in 2019 but there is rumor that he would work the WWE’s recently planned stadium event in Perth, Australia on February 24, 2024.
That appears to be coming from Australian media, as evidenced by the following statement made by Perth newspaper The West Australian on September 24:
It makes sense that Grayson Waller would weigh in since the show would take place in his own nation and the conversation appears to be coming from there. The Sydney boy and The Rock exchanged social media snaps in the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, but they were silent until The Rock’s unexpected debut on SmackDown.
He wasn’t going to pass up this opportunity since Waller isn’t just using it to promote Elimination Chamber. Additionally, he made a reference to reports that Johnson might appear at WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia on April 6-7, which were fuelled by Johnson himself.
Regarding what Grayson & Dwayne might be up to, Waller recently told Peter Rosenberg of Cheap Heat that he wants to compete with The Great One on the mic.
Of course, now that the writer’s strike is all but ended and the actors are anticipated to reach an agreement shortly, it’s possible that WWE will soon find that players like DJ and John Cena’s schedules are too full.
Waller’s attempt to concoct some business is understandable, though.
