Longton Snooker and Pool Club, a 40-year-old club, is planning to expand into a neighbouring building to meet member demand. With over 2,000 members, the club is seeking to increase its facilities by changing the use of a building in Chadwick Street, next to its current home at Normacot Road. The expansion is necessary to meet the sustained demand of its existing members and to avoid losing users who are unable to utilize the facility. The proposed expansion would also be suitable for hosting international events for the home nations in male and female pool competitions, making it a destination leisure and sports facility on the international stage.
