WWE announced their return to Australia yesterday (Sept. 22), but it got a bit lost in other news of the day. It was not unexpected that they would stage a stadium show in Perth early in the following year, but it was unexpected that it would be the premium live Elimination Chamber event of 2024.
The Elimination Chamber serves as a stopover between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, and frequently includes a battle or events that have significant ramifications for WWE’s largest event of the year. It’s the kind of show that ardent fans will undoubtedly want to keep a secret*.
However, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, people in the US will need to wake up bright and early if they want to see the spectacle live. That’s because WWE told the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Elimination Chamber will air or stream live around the world in primetime locally. For supporters in the company’s home market, that most likely means a 6am ET/3am PT start time.
WWE confirmed to us that the show will air in prime time Australia time. When UFC travels to Australia, they run the show early in the morning in Australia so it is at 10 p.m. Eastern in the U.S. Nowadays, Peacock is less concerned with the number of live WWE PPV show viewers. Instead of watching live, they are more interested in the number of views over the first 24 hours.
