A winger is set to sign a new contract with Tottenham.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham Hotspur target Albert Gudmundsson is set to sign a new contract with Genoa, along with Radu Dragusin. Gudmundsson has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 14 appearances this season, and Tottenham is reportedly monitoring his situation and focusing on his Serie A career.
Genova Today reports that the Lilywhites are leading in signing Gudmundsson, ahead of Inter Milan and AS Roma. Genoa is working on securing a new contract for both Gudmundsson and Dragusin, with long-term deals. Newcastle United has sent scouts to look at Dragusin, but Tottenham’s interest in Gudmundsson remains unrecognized.
Tottenham is considering signing a new winger in January due to injuries to Richarlison, Solomon, and Perisic. Ange Postecoglou is considering Bryan Gil for cover. The club should also consider someone who can play both wings and deputise for Dejan Kulusevski.
