According to a talkSPORT report, Fulham is showing interest in midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City.
Dewsbury-Hall, a product of the Leicester City academy, has played a bigger role recently at the King Power. He excelled while on loan at Luton Town during the 2020–21 season, and ever then, he has been considered for the main squad.
The 25-year-old has assumed a crucial position in Enzo Maresca’s team as a result of their relegation to the Championship. In seven league games, Dewsbury-Hall has contributed two goals and three assists, guiding the Foxes to six victories.
The midfielder attracted admiring looks in the summer, with Liverpool reportedly being one of the interested parties. Recent assertions of renewed interest have been made by talkSPORT.
They claim that Fulham is interested in signing the Shepshed-born star before January. The Cottagers are hoping to lure him back to the Premier League, although it is also noted that Leicester’s chances of gaining automatic promotion will play a significant role in the player’s decision.
It’s no secret how important Dewsbury-Hall could be in Leicester’s bid to win promotion. The midweek win over Norwich City marked the first Championship game he hasn’t started this season and just the second across all competitions.
Playing as a central or attacking midfielder or even out wider on the left, the academy graduate is emerging as a real talisman in the Foxes’ bid for success. A strong 2023/24 campaign could see him further cement his place as an important figure for the years to come, something he’ll surely be determined to do given that he’s been with the club since he was just eight.
Time will tell whether or not Fulham’s interest advances though. They’ve got Premier League money behind them and if Leicester’s promotion bid falters for any reason, they could look to strike an opportunistic deal.
