Real Madrid ready to offer €80 million-plus for Liverpool player
Real Madrid are currently one of the best performing teams in Europe, despite obvious problems with squad depth and injuries.
The club deserves a lot of credit for this but at the same time, it is not ideal.
We also saw them make a brilliant start to the season last season, only to fade away in the second half of the campaign.
Let’s see if they can keep up the pace this time.
We can hope that Real Madrid will strengthen its squad in the next transfer window.
There are several positions where they are light on options.
The club need to find a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal sooner or later.
And it appears that one of Liverpool’s best players is in their sights.
As reported by Fichajes, Real Madrid would be willing to put an offer of more than €80 million on the table for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Trent’s current deal with Liverpool is believed to run out in the summer of 2025.
And he is yet to sign an extension with his boyhood club.
Over the years, Trent has received a lot of criticism for his defensive style of play, but he remains a key player for Liverpool, who continue to be one of the best teams in the Premier League.
Going forward, Trent is one of the best and most effective full-backs we have ever seen.
And although it seems like he has been together for a long time, the Liverpool player is still only 25 years old.
So, chances are it hasn’t reached its peak yet.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will make a move for Trent in the future.
However, he is not the only right-back they have been linked with recently.
