Real Madrid prepare bid to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold
Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, 25, for a fee of 80 million euros.
A report from Fichajes has claimed that Real Madrid are interested in signing 25-year-old Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Merengues could consider spending 80 million euros to secure his services.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has established himself as one of the world’s best full-backs and he could prove to be a sensational acquisition for Real Madrid.
The England international is an excellent passer and he will add a new dimension to Real Madrid’s attack going forward.
He could be the ideal long-term replacement for veteran Dani Carvajal.
Real Madrid will need to properly replace the Spain international, and signing for Liverpool would certainly make a lot of sense.
However, he is a key player for the Merseyside club and is expected to lead the team in the coming years.
Meanwhile, Reece James is also a target of Real Madrid.
It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool are willing to sell him in the near future.
Additionally, 80 million euros seems quite cheap for a player of his caliber in today’s market.
Even if Liverpool sell this player, they will demand more from him.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the best players in the Premier League right now and is a much-needed asset for Liverpool.
They won’t want to accept his departure anytime soon.
Liverpool are hoping to win big titles in the coming seasons and need the 24-year-old defender to play at his best.
Although Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world and the opportunity to play for them is hard for any player to turn down, the Liverpool vice-captain would probably prefer to stay at his boyhood club.
There is no doubt that the 25-year-old is good enough to play for the best clubs in the world and would improve Real Madrid if he joined them.
It will be interesting to see whether Real Madrid decide to test Liverpool’s resolve with an offer in the coming months.
A move in January is highly unlikely and the Spanish giants will likely take their chances in the summer transfer window.
