Bosses of the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham have sent their best wishes to Panthers player Adam Johnson after he sustained a horror injury on the ice. The Challenge Cup tie with Sheffield Steelers was abandoned after a bad collision on the ice during the match at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield.

“Our heartfelt thoughts go out to Adam Johnson, his loved ones, all the Panthers players, staff, fans and the whole ice hockey community, following his horrific injury this evening,” they said.
Fans were told to leave the arena just before 9pm on Saturday evening, October 28. In a series of updates from the official Panthers X account, officials confirmed the game was stopped with the Steelers 2-1 ahead
“33:47 – The game is stopped for a bad injury Steelers 2 Panthers 1,” Panthers chiefs said, adding at 8.32pm: “Fans have been asked to leave the building due to a major medical emergency.”
