Nottingham Forest transfer news from Nottinghamshire Live, with the Reds linked with Serhou Guirassy.
Serhou Guirassy, a reported target for Nottingham Forest, could be available for a low fee in January.
Stuttgart’s striker has been in fantastic form for the Bundesliga club, scoring 14 goals in just eight appearances. If the Reds move, they will almost certainly face competition from West Ham, Brentford, and Fulham
BILD previously reported that a move away from Stuttgart this winter “can’t currently be ruled out” because his incredible form will earn the club “significantly more money,” enticing them to sell. However, according to transfers journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old could be available for just £17.5m due to a contract clause that is still in effect during the upcoming transfer window.
Steve Cooper has already had success with a striker from the Bundesliga, Taiwo Awoniyi, who joined the Reds from Union Berlin a year ago.
Guirassy previously discussed the reasons he did not join Forest this summer: “We have a good team, a good coach and incredible fans,” he told reporters. “As a family, we feel very at ease in Stuttgart.” That is why I chose to stay at VfB.”
When asked if playing in the top flight of English football was his dream, he replied, “Not exactly a dream.” But, if the opportunity to play in the Premier League exists, why not take it? But I don’t dream about it every day.”
