As the Indiana Fever defeated the Dallas Wings 100-93 to win their 17th game of the season, Caitlin Clark broke a franchise record for the team.
Clark finished with four rebounds, 12 assists, and 28 points. She scored crucial back-to-back long-range baskets and made 10 of 19 shots from the field, including five three-pointers, to help the Fever hold a two-point advantage. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 36 points at the end of Sunday’s game, going 12 for 22 from the field. It was Mitchell’s first 30-point game of the season and her first since Sept. 3, 2023, when she scored 30 points against the Wings in a road win. She broke the Fever rookie record set by WNBA star Tamika Catchings with her 595th point of her career.Na Lyssa Smith grabbed eight rebounds in addition to scoring 14 points. The only other players from the Fever to score in double figures were Mitchell, Smith, and Clark.
Arike Ogunbowale, the Wings’ sharpshooter, lit up the scoreboard, but they still lost. She made nine three-pointers and finished with 34 points. In the loss, she contributed three assists and eight rebounds.
With 25 points, Satou Sabally led the Wings, and Natasha Howard added another 18. With this victory, the Fever surpass.500 for the first time this year.
