Roger Federer has liquidated his remarkable estate.
Federer retired from professional tennis two years ago, and he is now enjoying life.
After playing his final match with Rafael Nadal at the Laver Cup two years ago, Roger Federer announced his retirement from professional tennis, and he is now content with his life. The former Swiss champion was greeted with an incredibly moving homage at London’s O2 Arena, as his fiercest competitors acknowledged his brilliance and vital role in the growth of tennis.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion has been a global icon and made an important contribution even off the tennis court, becoming the most beloved player of all times. The Swiss Maestro has lost most of his records, which were stolen by his eternal rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
In his later years, the former world number one would have preferred to compete more, but a significant knee ailment kept him from performing to his full potential. The Swiss legend had to give up and pay attention to his body’s needs after undergoing multiple surgeries in an attempt to resume competitive play at a high level. Federer has been working on a number of ventures lately and feels comfortable not playing professional tennis. King Roger will be present at the Laver Cup in Berlin next month, continuing his connection to the sport that brought him international recognition.
Federer is interested in a variety of things.
Since he ceased competing professionally in tennis, Roger Federer has pursued a variety of interests and endeavors. It was announced a few days ago that the former world champion had sold his significant Herrliberg property. The site, which is roughly 5800 square meters, was sold to the Amini Group of Zurich, according to “NZZ.” The transaction only reached a settlement of 30 million francs, despite rumors that the former Swiss champion would have sought about 35 million francs for the property.
During a recent interview with Tennis Channel, Federer opened up on the new racket launched by Wilson: “Having spent my whole career playing with Wilson rackets, I’m excited about the new RF Collection that we’ve created together. I’m honoured that Wilson is continuing my legacy by further innovating the game I love, and I hope the collection inspires the stars of today as much as I was inspired the first time that I picked up a Wilson racket.
Having the RF logo on the racket shows you that this is very serious for me. It’s a big honour for me to have an RF franchise at Wilson. I’ve been with them for so, so long, ever since I played my first tournament at eight years old it was a Wilson racket and I’ve never played another tournament with another, with another brand. So for me to carry on the journey together with Wilson, now with my own initials and my brand is incredible.”
Super tough moments, she was in crutches for a long time. Over a month I think… She was doing rehab, always pain and then I told her, ‘Why don’t you just retire, I mean this is not the idea of playing tennis with pain all the time, and then we can be on tour together?’, and I was on the ascend of… starting to win Wimbledon, top 10, World No. 1. And she was like ‘Yeah you’re right, I’m done, it’s good!'”
Federer has been at the center of an incredible rivalry between Serbian Djokovic and Spaniard Rafael Nadal. The Big 3 elevated the game of tennis and served as an inspiration to players in the generations that followed. Federer announced his retirement in 2022, but Nadal is considering his options in light of the challenges he has had lately. Despite not even having won a Grand Slam title this year, Djokovic is still very much in the running and recently took home the gold medal at the Olympics in Paris.
