Sha’Carri Richardson Snubbed as Noah Lyles and Others Return for Netflix’s ‘Sprint’
It’s unlikely that Sha’Carri Richardson will appear in SPRINT’s upcoming second season. Box to Box Productions revealed the release date for “SPRINT” season 2 following the unprecedented success of the first season on Netflix. The documentary series, which is scheduled to premiere on November 13, will explore the Diamond League meets, national championships, and, of course, the Olympics in Paris in great detail. A number of additional details on the upcoming season were also revealed along with the announcement. The introduction of multiple new athletes into the plot was the most important of them.
But the one truly memorable aspect of the day was undoubtedly Sha’Carri Richardson’s exclusion from the proceedings. Since Richardson played a significant role in season 1, his absence will be quite significant. There is no concrete information regarding the Olympic silver medallist in the women’s 100-meter relay not being present on the show, despite the fact that the exclusion rumors are based only on the names disclosed at the press conference.
Sha’Carri Richardson had a fantastic outing at the US trials prior to Paris. Accused of slow timing all around the year, the 24-year-old recorded the fastest time in the trials to storm into Paris. Riding high on confidence, Sha’Carri Richardson was expected to be improving her timing in Paris. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and Richardson faltered significantly to clinch the silver medal, clocking a mere 10.87s.
