Braves All-Star RHP Reynaldo Lopez to the IL due to discomfort in his forearm.
Reynaldo Lopez, an All-Star right-hander, was placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Atlanta Braves on Monday.
The starting pitcher, 30, is battling discomfort in his right forearm. The change took effect on Friday.
Lopez, who is 7-4 with a 2.06 ERA through 19 starts, was selected to the National League All-Star team during his rookie season with Atlanta.
Since making his debut in 2016, he has played in 260 games (116 starts) with five different teams, compiling a 46-53 record and a 4.02 ERA. He played with the Chicago White Sox for a portion of seven seasons.
In a matching move, the Braves brought up right-hander Bryce Elder from Triple-A Gwinnett. In his nine starts this season for Atlanta, he is 2-4 with a 5.67 ERA.
