After striking a player in the face, Caitlin Clark receives a technical foul against the Lynx.

In Minnesota, Clark had difficulties.

Star player Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever, who is renowned for her ability to score points and create plays, had a difficult game on Sunday against the Minnesota Lynx. Clark came into the game on a high note, having contributed double figures in assists in each of her previous five games, which made her an important offensive weapon for the Fever.
But Clark showed a new side in the game against the Lynx. She shot a pitiful 3 of 14 from the field and managed only seven points through three quarters as she struggled to find her flow. When she was moving the ball up the court, Lynx forward Cecilia Zandalasini fouled her, which infuriated her to the point of physical conflict. Clark acted rashly and thrashed her arm, hitting Zandalasini across the face.

Her career as a professional basketball player has started off really intensely.

Since she began playing for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark has been the victim of a lot of hate mail, but it appears that she has made a friend in Brittney Griner.

After her NCAA performance created an unprecedented surge in interest in the sport, Clark entered the league with a great reputation.

Evidently, a lot of her professional peers have determined that she should be reminded that she is new here and that there have been some really tough challenges as well as some extremely harsh remarks. To her credit, Clark has refused to take any of the bait and has instead focused on improving herself.

Griner and Clark’s regard for one another
The Phoenix Mercury are Griner’s team, and the Fever defeated the Mercury 95-86 at home recently. After the game, Clark had the opportunity to talk with ten-time WNBA All-Star Griner.
IndyStar’s Kyle Smedley reports that Griner stated she was pleased with Clark’s WNBA transition. In response, Clark sends the former WNBA champion a sincere message to express her gratitude.
Extremely considerate. When we played Phoenix earlier this year, she told me the same thing. It’s simply something you value. She has been a mainstay and an incredible talent in this league for as long as I have watched it. Thus, I truly appreciate her saying that, which is not something you take for granted these days,” Clark remarked.

Clark finished the game with 20 points, six rebounds, and 13 assists for the Fever on Friday. After being substituted out early in the second quarter due to a right hip injury, Griner finished the game with four points and one assist.
