Atlanta Braves and Angels outfielder are linked in a new report.
With only a few weeks remaining until the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Angels could be one of the more interesting teams in it. The team hasn’t performed as anyone would have hoped, sitting in fourth place in the American League West. This is because, despite a change in management, the team hasn’t been able to show any sense of consistency, which has hurt them in the standings.
Opposing teams are showing interest in a few Angels players, according to MLB insider Jim Bowden of The Athletic. Among them is outfielder Taylor Ward, who the Braves of Atlanta are said to be considering.
Since Ronald Acuña Jr.’s season-ending knee injury, the Braves have been concentrating on enhancing their outfield room. After the Nationals released Eddie Rosario last week, they signed him to a minor league contract then on Sunday, they recalled the 2021 NLCS MVP. Jazz Chisholm Jr., Taylor Ward of the Angels, Randy Arozarena of the Rays, and Tommy Pham of the White Sox are potential trade possibilities for outfielders.”
Atlanta wants to increase their chances of staying competitive after suffering many outfield injuries. If the Angels decide to transfer Ward, they might get some valuable future assets and he could be a solid option for them.
Ward has hit.230 so far this season, with 14 home runs and 44 RBI. Although he may be a wonderful addition to the Braves lineup, it’s unclear if the Halos will decide to let him go.
