Conor Coady, a former Liverpool prospect who is currently playing for Leicester City, gushed about Kyle Walker of Manchester City and the England right-back team.
Walker, in Coady’s opinion, is the best right-back in the world.
Walker and the ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers defender were teammates for England.
Conor Coady weighs in on Manchester City star Kyle Walker Coady stated on BBC Radio 5 Live that Walker “is a legend” in terms of the way that he conducts himself.
If you know what I mean, he is a leader without actually being one.
“He has a commanding presence. He exudes a certain air.
People instinctively admire him for the things he has accomplished in his profession.
“I genuinely believe he is the best right-back in the world,” Coady continued. That is something I firmly believe.
My Opinion: Kyle Walker makes Manchester City a better team.
Kyle Walker is a top-tier athlete in my opinion, and he continues to play a significant role for Manchester City.
With Walker on the club, City, in my opinion, are a superior team.
The right-back for the former Tottenham Hotspur is currently 33 years old, but he has not slowed down.
The £175,000-per-week (Spotrac) player is still quick and capable of performing effectively in games that last 90 minutes.
Walker was after all a target for Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.
Walker claimed that he was close to joining Bundesliga winners Bayern in the summer of 2023, as reported by ESPN in September 2023.
But the right-back made the decision to sign a new contract with City and remain at the Etihad Stadium.
In eight Premier League games for City so far this year, Walker has contributed one assist.
