Halfway through the season, Indiana Fever freshman Caitlin Clark is leading the pack, making her the clear favorite to win the 2024 WNBA freshman of the Year title.

The Fever defeated the New York Liberty 83-78 on Saturday, making history as the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double. The 2024 No. 1 overall choice made history. In the game, Clark finished with 19 points, 12 assists, and 13 rebounds.

The award will likely be hers to lose for the rest of the year.

2. Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese (+400)
It’s easy to see why Reese has the second-best chance of winning Rookie of the Year after looking at her stats thus far this season.
The former LSU standout leads in almost every category where Clark isn’t the leader, including efficiency rating (19.3), steals (1.4 per game), and rebounds (11.7 per game). In Friday’s game against the Seattle Storm, Reese equaled Candace Parker’s WNBA record with 12 straight double-doubles. Since then, she has assisted the Sky in winning four of their previous six games.

T-3. Los Angeles Sparks (+25,000)’s Rickea Jackson
This season, Jackson has scored in double figures in 11 games. His most recent performance came on Friday when the Sparks defeated the Las Vegas Aces 98-93 in overtime. She is third among all rookies with an average of 10.4 points per game, only behind Clark and Reese.

T-3 Chicago Sky’s Kamilla Cardoso (+25000)
Reese has garnered the most attention among the Sky’s two first-round selections due to her impressive play thus far, but Cardoso has also performed admirably. With an efficiency rating of 11.5, she is third among rookies. She averages 8.4 points and 7.8 reboundT-3. Washington Mystics’ Aaliyah Edwards (+25000)
Edwards, who is up to 8.6 points per game following her 10-point performance in the Mystics’ loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, is right behind Clark, Reese, and Jackson in terms of scoring average. With her average of 6.0 rebounds per game, she trails only Reese and Cardoso of the Sky among rookies. Cameron Brink leads with 0.9 blocks per game.
