Braves Called ‘Best Guess’ To Land Angels All-Star At Trade Deadline.
The Atlanta Braves could use a little help in the starting rotation and could look to make a move or two around the 2024 Major League Baseball trade deadline.
Atlanta has been dealt a tough hand this season with both Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr. both suffering long-term injuries.
The Braves still have a chance to make a deep playoff run this year as the club is extremely deep, but, they still will be busy this summer looking to make an addition or two. One position that could use a boost in the starting rotation.
The New York Post’s Jon Heyman attempted to predict where some of the top trade candidates could be moved to and called the Braves the “best guess” to land Los Angeles Angels All-Star Tyler Anderson.
“He’s putting together an outstanding season in the second year of a $40 million, three-year deal,” Heyman said. “Best guess: Braves. Other guesses: (Baltimore Orioles), (Milwaukee Brewers), (and) (Los Angeles Dodgers).”
Anderson would be a great pickup for the Braves. He has been fantastic so far this season and has a 2.63 ERA and 53-to-33 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 82 innings pitched. The Braves need another top-of-the-rotation arm and Anderson certainly could fill that role down the stretch.
The Angels seem poised to be one of the biggest sellers in baseball this offseason and the Braves will be looking to add. Don’t be surprised to see speculation pick up.
