While some of the group are new arrivals to the Wolves 2022 squad, many have been with the club for a number of years after rising through the younger age groups in the club’s category one academy.
In order to learn more about the full-time program the players and their parents would be pursuing over the two years of their scholarship—which ultimately aims to earn them their first professional contract—they met with all of the academy’s coaching and administrative personnel on Saturday.
“We’ve got a really diverse group of scholars in the academy this season, with boys at different stages of their development,” stated Jon Hunter-Barrett, the football academy manager. Some schoolboys have already represented their country’s under-18 team, while others haven’t.

“I hope this group can stay engaged, focused, and truly try to enjoy the learning that they need to have in order to support Wolves’ development.”
“Stan signed for the academy at 14 and has spent some time in our development centre during the previous year or two. He’s a local boy from the Solihull area and his scholarship is reward for a very good under-16s season. He’s very keen to learn, he’s very focused and a good person to have around the group.”Since he was eight years old, Fin has attended the institution. He is a local youngster from Tettenhall who has advanced through the Wolves program from start to finish. He is a talented attacking midfielder who enjoys playing on half turns. He finds gaps throughout the pitch by using his tactical and technical understanding of the game.
“Hayden is a fourteen-year-old youngster who actually enrolled in our academy through one of our open tryouts. He is a left-footed defender who can play center back or left back and enjoys the out-of-possession duties of the position. He is a wonderful guy with incredible character who gives the group motivation and hunger.
