Serhou Guirassy, a 27-year-old striker for Stuttgart, appears to be attracting interest from other teams besides Nottingham Forest.
90 Minutes reports that West Ham and Brentford are also interested in signing the Guinean international striker, in addition to Forest, who is still interested in him.
With seven games played, Guirassy has already scored 13 league goals this season, including two hat-tricks against Mainz and Wolfsburg. His goals have propelled Stuttgart to second place in the Bundesliga.
The 27-year-old only signed a permanent contract with Stuttgart this summer after a successful loan term the previous season, but his new contract has a €20 million release clause, which is an incredible deal.
Forest have three solid forward options, with Taiwo Awoniyi, Chris Wood after his loan deal was made permanent this summer, and Divock Origi also joining the club on loan during the summer transfer window.
Despite this, Guirassy would be a fantastic addition and has already proven this season that he has a great eye for goal.
The uncompromising striker had a really successful season last year. Despite a difficult season for Stuttgart, which saw them maintain their Bundesliga spot through the relegation play-offs, he scored 14 goals.
But this year, he’s improved his performances to the point that, after just seven games, the 27-year-old is just one goal short of his total from the previous campaign.
The talented striker didn’t completely rule out a future transfer to England’s top division when speaking to Bild at the end of September.
“We [Stuttgart] have an excellent team, an excellent coach, and fantastic fans. As a family, we are really at home in Stuttgart. That is why I chose to remain at VfB.
Not quite a dream, though. But why not, if a transfer to the Premier League is a possibility at some point? But it’s not like I always dream about it.
