Emmanuel Moseley Contract Details Revealed
Emmanuel Moseley is getting another chance from the Detroit Lions.
Following an injury that made the 2023 season meaningless for the defender, Moseley and the Lions have reconnected. After sustaining an ACL tear in his Week 5 debut, Moseley was limited to only two snaps of action for the Lions in the previous campaign.
For Moseley, who had suffered an ACL tear on his other knee while playing for the San Francisco 49ers the previous year, it was an unfortunate turn of events.
He re-signed with the Lions on Tuesday, and on Sunday the official deal details were made public. The signing bonus is the sole guaranteed portion of the one-year contract.
Last summer, Moseley signed a one-year, $6 million contract with Detroit healing from his wound. He had a second knee procedure, which required him to miss training camp.
After training camp, he was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list, although he remained inactive until Week 5. After just two defensive snaps in his comeback from injury, he tore his ACL.
In 2023, the cornerbacks for the Lions had trouble. The squad had to rotate through alternatives opposite Cam Sutton, including Jerry Jacobs, Khalil Dorsey, and Kindle Ildor, as he struggled to keep up with the best wideouts on the other team.
This offseason, all three players might become free agents.
