Pittsburgh native Mike McCarthy went to Bishop Boyle High School in Homestead, Pennsylvania. He serves as the head coach of the American football team Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.

From 2006 to 2018, he served as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers. In Super Bowl XLV in 2011, he led the team to victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team he was born into. He was the offensive coordinator for the 49ers in San Francisco and the New Orleans Saints in the past.

McCarthy has worked with several NFL quarterbacks, notably Joe Montana in Kansas City and Brett Favre in Green Bay, who were either in or close to the prime of their careers. Elvis Grbac, Rich Gannon, Marc Bulger, Matt Hasselbeck, Matt Flynn, and Aaron Brooks were

every signal caller who influenced McCarthy in some way.

On March 15, 2008, Mike McCarthy and Jessica Kress exchanged vows. McCarthy’s previous marriage produced a daughter, while Jessica’s previous marriage produced two sons. Together, McCarthy and Jessica have two girls.

McCarthy has a history of helping out the community and those in need, as does his wife. In Rwanda, they took part in the Seven Loaves Project. They started a charity organization called the McCarthy Family Foundation.
