All Lions: ‘Bat Signal’ Out for Campbell to Speak to Red Wings
Throughout the NHL season, the Detroit Lions have left their mark at Little Caesars Arena.
This season, before Detroit Red Wings home games begin, a number of the organization’s members have blown the goal horn. The most recent player to attend the game and assist energize the fans before kickoff was defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.
Wide receiver Jameson Williams and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson are two more players of the team who have engaged in the custom.
The Lions have received unwavering support from the crowd as well; “Jared Goff” shouts can still be heard throughout the stadium. As of Wednesday, the Red Wings have triumphed in six straight games.
With the Red Wings still aiming for a postseason trip, head coach Derek Lalonde
said that he wants to invite Lions head coach Dan Campbell to address his team.
Lalonde declared, “I got the bat signal out.” According to The Detroit Free Press, Lalonde stated, “I know he’s in the combine right now, but obviously I would love him to come and address the boys.” “I have the bat signal out, but I understand how busy and focused they are right now—they work 16 or 18-hour days. We’re hoping he can come talk to the guys.
