According to Football Insider, Nottingham Forest are expected to sign four crucial players this summer.
Forest are seeking for a goalkeeper, a center-back, a wide left player, and a goalscoring forward.
Steven Cooper is desperate to get an attacker capable of scoring the goals required to keep them in the Premier League next season.
However, in order to make room for new signings, the club must release players and clear space on the pay bill.
Football Insider announced on Monday (10 July) that three big stars could leave this summer.
Three great players, Jonjo Shelvey, Emmanuel Dennis, and Remo Freuler, have been judged surplus to requirements for Cooper’s team moving forward.
The Nottingham club would welcome permanent transfers for the trio in order to balance the books and ensure compliance with financial fair play requirements.
Cooper’s four positions may not be the only ones he bolsters in the coming months.
According to Football Insider (10 July), the Premier League club could bring in up to six new players during the summer transfer window.
Although supporters should not expect a signing binge like last year, Cooper hopes to bring in numerous new players for the 2023-24 season.
Forest finished 16th in the 2022-23 Premier League table, four points above the drop zone, and narrowly avoided relegation.
The Premier League newcomers defeated Leicester City, Leeds United, and Southampton to secure their place in the top tier.
In other news, Nottingham Forest may no longer pursue a permanent goalie.
