NFL Week 11 against the spread predictions: Chiefs defeat Eagles in rematch of the Super Bowl
On Monday night, after a difficult season to watch, we get a treat.
Super Bowl 57 1/2.The Chiefs and Eagles are playing in the same Super Bowl as the previous season, and both clubs are still very good. (The only other team with two or fewer losses is the Lions.) And after a bye week, both are well-rested. Although most teams are winning this season due to the poor quarterback play throughout the league, the Chiefs are winning because of their defense.
Along with Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers, and Anthony Richardson, Deshaun Watson is the fourth starting quarterback out for the season, and it wasn’t like the NFL had many competent quarterbacks on hand.
These games have turned into a crapshoot because it has turned into a national disaster. The most field goals in a single week in NFL history was made by six teams last weekend with seconds left.
We’re lucky to have enjoyed another successful week.
Last week: 3-2 on best bets, 7-6-1 against the spread.
Season record: 28-22 on best bets, 80-67-3 ATS.
The Bengals were undoubtedly thinking past the Texans during the previous week. In the second half, they scored twenty points, but it was too little, too late. Additionally, they will be greatly missing DE Sam Hubbard and wide receiver Tee Higgins this week. In particular, Hubbard will be missed since the Ravens will be able to run the ball, and Joe Mixon of the Bengals may not be able to do the same. The lowest scoring defense in the league, allowed by the Ravens, is 15.7 points per game. It hasn’t happened by four teams in a division since 2011 when Baltimore, Cleveland (18.9), Pittsburgh (20.2), and Cincinnati (21.3) are all allowing fewer than 22 points per game.
The announcement that Watson will miss the entire season put a dent in the hopes of four AFC North teams qualifying for the postseason. The Browns defense is excellent, but their offense lacks spark without Watson, particularly if they choose to start Dorian Thompson-Robinson over P.J. Walker, as they did. The Steelers are fantastic. Despite being outgained in yardage for nine consecutive games, they have managed to win six of them. Since the previous season, they have won nine games in a row by one score. I keep losing when I try to go against them. Not this week.
