Following his absence from practice on Wednesday, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be limited for Thursday’s practice. Not a single player will skip practice on Thursday
Samuel’s practice suggests he will take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He’s leaning toward playing if not.
It’s encouraging to hear that there are no new injury updates as the squad prepares to compete in the NFC Championship. Some of the questions Shanahan heard about Brock Purdy’s play last week surprised him. The majority of the queries focused on Shanahan’s lack of interest in the outcomes.
How significant do you think the fans will be on Sunday? Shanahan objected, adding, “We don’t call it the 12th man here,” to the reporter’s claim that it was the 12th man. Shanahan commented on the Levi’s Stadium crowd as follows:
“Our audience is crucial. Our crowd is the best, in my opinion.
“Our audience is crucial. Our fan base is the best in football, in my opinion. Home-field advantage is something we adore. Above all, it is our defense. Our athletes emerging from the tunnel. Here, we want to prevail. It’s very important. Everyone is impacted by it. Loudness is always, in my opinion, a true advantage in sports. That seriously disrupts the ball’s movement on one side. For this reason, it’s critical to be vocal.
Now let’s go on to the NFC Championship. After the San Francisco 49ers throughout the regular season, the Detroit Lions were the most reliable team in the conference, so it makes sense that these two clubs would represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Taking the platform, head coach of the Lions Dan Campbell complimented Kyle Shanahan on being one of the NFL’s “top” offensive minds. Before the reporter could voice their question, Ca
“Cease your sprint. You need to give up running. Because if you don’t, they won’t even bother to think about passing and will just go for 250 on you. That is where it all has to begin.
Shanahan performs amazing work. He will play one side and cause you to overreact. He will then play-pass off of that and counterattack, working the middle of the field.
You see, you’re really busy on both fronts. [Brock] Purdy performs an amazing job. He performs an incredible job with touch, timing, and rhythm when they toss a bunch of daggers in the middle of the field.
But this running game has to end. That is where it must begin. Insofar as possible, you
mpbell cut them off when she inquired about where Detroit will be concentrating their efforts this week:
I asked Shanahan on Monday if he thought Detroit’s defense was better than their record would indicate, but he hadn’t gone far enough in his preparation against the ‘Lions’ defense at that point. Kyle was proven to be right when he believed that to be the case for Green Bay’s defense. This was his response:
As the week progresses, I’ll find out more, but I would guess so. Right now, we’re only beginning to explore them. So, even if I’m not close enough to them, they seem like a very strong defense. Even while the numbers don’t always reflect it, it’s clear from a distance that they’re rushing around doing plays.
Many of their athletes, who we played with in the past or who recently graduated from college, are known to you. When you combine that kind of deal with an elite offensive like theirs, the defense is always superior—even though the stats don’t support it. Thus, that will be our focus for the entire week. It won’t surprise me if we ultimately feel
“We cause trouble. We act aggressively. We struck. That has to be our main focus, in my opinion. These are the guiding ideas. A few things might come back to haunt us. I am aware that I will sometimes sacrifice something in order to obtain something. Things could go wrong, but that’s okay because by the time the fourth quarter rolls around, it will have paid off. That seems to be what we’re doing.
This group has a strong taste of salt. They play ferociously. They’re not that bad. We also have a competitive spirit. Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, in my opinion, has done a fantastic job of spicing things up. We have adequate protection from the pressure. Some of our stronger pressure players are beginning to show their true colors. You can definitely see our confidence growing. It truly is
