Safety Tristin McCollum of the Eagles is getting ready for his postseason debut with the knowledge that his twin brother will be watching from the other sidelines.
Zyon McCollum plays cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is in his second season.
“He has been talking trash, so I am talking right back to him,” Tristin replied. “This week has seen a slight increase in tension, but ultimately, all is love. It will be enjoyable.”
Prior to beginning their NFL careers, the McCollum twins were co-players in football. Both of them were starters in the secondary while attending Sam Houston State. Tristin signed as an undrafted free agency with the Houston Texans, while Zyon was selected by the Bucs in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
It’s possible that the two will be paired together on special teams, with Zyon playing jammer and Tristin as gunner.
His mother Tisha provided an answer to that query by having a split jersey
The brothers have never been closer, despite the fact that they will be playing against one another on Monday.
Tristin remarked, “We are really, really close.” “We call each other every day, sometimes even multiple times per day, just to check in and help each other out.”
that featured the team colors and numbers of both of her sons.
Tristin stated, “She’s going to be cheering for both of us.” She loves the two of us so much that I’m not sure how she will manage it. All she wants is for us to enjoy ourselves and stay safe.”
“We could end up competing against each other, so it’ll be like we are back in the backyard,” said Tristin.
After the teams played in Week 3, the two talked about the prospect of facing each other in the playoffs. Zyon was on the active roster, but Tristin was on the practice squad and had six tackles and one pass defense.
The brothers’ fight was dubbed the “craziest coincidence” by Tristin.
