As the starting quarterbacks for their respective conferences, Brock Purdy and Tua Tagovailoa were chosen for their first Pro Bowls.
Since the 1999 season, when Pro Football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner were selected, this is the first time that the two starting quarterbacks have been first-round selections.
Nine players, including Purdy, were selected from the San Francisco 49ers, who secured the top seed in the NFC. Edge rusher Nick Bosa, tight end George Kittle, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, cornerback Charvarius Ward, linebacker Fred Warner, running back Christian McCaffrey, and tackle Trent Williams joined him.
