Wizards Unveil Promotional and Theme Night Schedule for 2023-24 Season
DC’s Washington – In advance of the start of the 2023–24 NBA season presented by Capital One, the Washington Wizards have announced their promotional and theme night calendar. At a later time, other giveaways in connection with the team’s City Edition jersey debut will be revealed.
Themes and Contests
All spectators at the home opener game on Saturday, October 28, against the Memphis Grizzlies will receive a 2023–24 Wizards schedule magnet and a ‘For The District’ rally towel to kick off the new season.
The Dallas Mavericks will be the opponent for “Wizards Wednesdays,” a nine-night series sponsored by Capital One, on November 15. On specific Wizards Wednesdays, Capital One will provide fans with a Wizards-branded hat as part of the Player Hat Series, which features caps created by former and present Wizards players. On December 27, the Player Hat Series will debut, and the first 10,000 spectators will each get a hat made by Tyus Jones. Gilbert Arenas, a former student, and Deni Avdija, a current student, both created hats for the series on March 6. Capital One will provide a lifestyle Deni Avdija bobblehead to the first 10,000 spectators at the “Wizards Wednesdays” game on January 31.
The Wizards will also introduce a DMV bobblehead series on January 15 with Virginia Ali of Ben’s Chili Bowl in Washington, D.C., tennis player Frances Tiafoe of Maryland on February 10, and rapper Pusha T of Virginia on March 17.
A Wizards plush blanket, a reversible “swaggy buckets” bucket hat featuring Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole, a G-Wiz plush toy, a Jordan Poole “Poole Party” towel, a Wizards City Edition building block set, a “For the District” belt bag, a Wizards-branded gym bag, and more will be given away this season.
