Charlton Athletic boss Michael Appleton has said Panutche Camara is back running as he continues his recovery.
The midfielder has not been at Charlton Athletic since August. During their League One match against Bristol Rovers, he sustained a foot injury.
In the most recent transfer window, Camara, 26, transferred from Championship team Ipswich Town to the Addicks on loan. Since then, he has appeared three times.
In this most recent post, Appleton claimed he was back on the grass, according to London News Online: “It is challenging to say. He has been on the grass for the past three or four days. He wasn’t with the group, but he was on the grass with the sports science and physio guys.
If I’m being completely honest, I’m glad to see him back with his boots on because his injury is extremely severe. Since he has been back on the grass with his boots on and has not experienced any severe side effects, hopefully this is a good indicator.

When Camara returns, Charlton will benefit from having him in shape. They won’t want to take any chances with him, though.
He increases their midfield’s depth and level of competition. The four-cap international from Guinea-Bissau might perhaps feel he has something to show after finding it difficult to break into Ipswich’s lineup the previous season.
From 2020 to 2022, Camara was an important player for Plymouth Argyle after moving there from Crawley Town. Prior to being acquired by Ipswich a year ago, he played 94 games for the Pilgrims in all competitions and contributed with 10 goals.
The former Dulwich Hamlet and Crawley Town player played for Kieran McKenna’s team during the previous season when they were promoted from the third division. He only played for the Tractor Boys four times, which is why he was let to go in the summer.
