Due to their involvement in a match-fixing scam, eight Chinese snooker players have earned severe punishments and two have been banned for life.
The world no. 11 player Liang Wenbo was deemed “particularly disgraceful” by the snooker and billiards regulating body, the WPBSA Disciplinary Commission, which conducted the hearing. Liang and Li Hang received lifetime bans, and both athletes had to make payments.
