Arsenal are now seriously thinking about doing swap deal to sign ‘remarkable’ player
Arsenal is now considering a trade to bring in a “remarkable” player.
Arsenal’s new season has gotten off to a strong start, as they have yet to lose in the Premier League.
Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus’ inability to consistently find the scoresheet thus far has raised some concerns about a lack of firepower up front.
In fact, the two strikers have combined for just three Premier League goals all season.
Arsenal weighing up swap deal for Toney
According to 90 Min, both Chelsea and Arsenal are willing to offer players to Brentford in an effort to sign Toney.
The Bees are expected to demand a sum of at least £75 million, according to sources close to the club, who have downplayed reports that they may sell the striker for as less as £60 million.
The source continues by saying that while Arsenal is prepared to provide players as part of a trade, they may opt not to agree to those requests.
Toney scored an outstanding total of 20 goals for Thomas Frank’s team last season, earning praise as a “remarkable” attacker.
He is without a doubt one of the top attackers in the Premier League, and signing him for the Gunners would be a major coup.
Of course, he has been suspended for eight months for breaking the gambling laws. The England striker has only recently returned to training at Brentford, despite having a January comeback date for play.
Toney would be a fantastic addition to Arsenal’s lineup, though, if he can somehow recapture even a little portion of his peak performance.
