With just the world’s top 16 players invited to participate, the Players Championship offers a £385,000 prize pool with £125,000 going to the eventual champion. After a brilliant season so far, Northern Irishman and World No. 3 Mark Allen was the top seed. The lack of some big names pened the door for other players to win the illustrious event.
The 2023 Players championship kicks off in Wolverhampton on Monday, February 20 with an exciting field and a huge prize pool on offer.
With Ronnie O’Sullivan and Neil Robertson having failed to qualify, Mark Allen was deemed the player to beat and is named the top seed.
However, early surprises saw Allen lose, as well as Judd Trump and Mark Selby.
In the UK, the 2023 Players Championship is also available on ITV4 – Sky channel 120, BT 26, Virgin 118.
