Point guard Jrue Holiday was dealt, the Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers acknowledged on Sunday. In exchange for Holiday, Portland received guard Malcolm Brogdon, center Rob Williams, a 2024 first-round pick from the Golden State Warriors, an unprotected first-round selection from Boston, and guard Malcolm Brogdon.
Holiday had flown to Portland four days earlier as part of a three-team trade that sent Damian Lillard, the standout player for the Milwaukee Bucks, to the Blazers. The Bucks acquired Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, and draft picks from 2028 and 2030 in exchange for the Trail Blazers’ 2029 first-round selection.
