The Indiana Fever’s star rookie Caitlin Clark is scheduled to play the Chicago Sky after recovering from a near-accident to her ankle sustained during their most recent matchup with the Atlanta Dream. The game was only seven minutes old when Clark rolled her left ankle while going through a screen. She immediately collapsed to the ground, clutching her ankle in obvious pain.
The damage turned out not to be as bad as first thought, despite the initial worry. After rejoining the game, Clark scored on Indiana’s opening possession. With 19 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, he helped the Fever defeat the Dream 84-79.
This season, the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky have squared off three times, with the Fever coming out on top two times. On Friday, WNBA Rookie of the Year contenders Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will square off in their fourth and final meeting of the season.

Even though Reese and Clark have different roles and play different positions for the Sky and Fever, it’s probable that Friday’s game will be portrayed as a matchup between the two. Although they don’t have a formal rivalry, since their undergraduate years, supporters and the media have fostered this narrative. They played three times while Reese was at Maryland, but the narrative took off with Reese’s LSU’s victory over Clark’s Iowa in the 2023 NCAA title game.
Both players have broken numerous records this season and were selected to the WNBA All-Star team. With Clark dishing out 10 assists and Reese recording a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds, they were crucial to Team WNBA’s triumph over Team USA.
