The men’s team placed sixth, but was disqualified due to a botched baton pass.
Breakdancing, often known as breaking, was introduced to the Olympics. However, Logan Edra (B-Girl Logistx) and Sunny Choi (B-Girl Sunny) of Team USA were not able to go past the round robin stage and reach the quarterfinals. Tomorrow is the men’s competition.
The women’s basketball team from the United States defeated Australia 85-64 to go to the gold medal game on Sunday.
Italy was defeated in three sets by the men’s volleyball team from the United States to secure the bronze medal. In the men’s soccer championship, host France lost 5-3 against Spain, the winners of the European Championship.

The latest day of the 2024 Paris Olympics
Today, Sha’Carri Richardson captured her maiden Olympic gold medal, leading her country to victory in the 4x100m relay by surprising the Americans with a brilliant anchor leg.
In the men’s relay, however, Canada unexpectedly won gold ahead of South Africa and Britain, disappointing the United States. Following their disastrous first baton exchange, the United States was eliminated.
Rai Benjamin defeated Norwegian champion Karsten Warholm in the 400-meter hurdles final at Stade de France, but it wasn’t all terrible news for the American men.
The host nation, France, lost to Spain in the men’s soccer final earlier today. Meanwhile, the American women’s basketball team overcame Australia to win their 60th consecutive Olympic gold medal and move on to Sunday’s gold medal game.
