Who Is the Boyfriend of Caitlin Clark? Everything About Connor McCaffery.
Meet the biggest fan of Caitlin Clark.
The athlete from the University of Iowa is dating Connor McCaffery, a fellow basketball player and alumnus.
The pair began dating in April 2023, but it wasn’t until four months later that Clark shared a picture of herself with Connor on Instagram, bringing their relationship to the public’s attention. She wrote, “Best end to summer,” as the caption for a carousel of pictures that showed the couple cuddling up on a boat.
On her 22nd birthday in January 2024, Connor shared a tribute to Clark. He said, “I wish I could have been there to celebrate with you—you deserve the best day.” “You still have so much more in store for yourself and your own personality, even with everything you’ve already accomplished. I adore you and I respect you greatly.
There would be “so much more in store” for Clark, as Connor had said. A month later, the basketball player overtook Kelsey Plum’s record of 3,527 points to become the all-time top scorer in NCAA women’s basketball history.
In July of 2024, Clark wrote a letter of her own to celebrate Connor’s 26th birthday. Honoring you is simple. I’m grateful to have someone in my life that is as compassionate and selfless as you. I hope that this year will be the one when you manage to surpass me. Love you forever,” she penned.
His employer is the Indiana Pacers of the NBA.
In May 2023, Connor received a job offer in professional sports following his graduation from the University of Iowa. He assists the Indiana Pacers of the NBA as a team assistant.
Connor participated in two sports at Iowa. In between practicing and playing for his team, he pursued his two bachelor’s degrees in political science and finance.
Connor quickly accepted the Pacers’ offer after graduating in May. “All hands on deck” is how he approaches his work, he told Des Moines Register.
He clarified, “I’ll run the scout team, play dummy defense, assist coaches with film stuff, assist with video projects if necessary, and assist with scouting reports if necessary.” “Be prepared to do whatever is asked of you.”
Former Division I basketball player Connor was a member of the University of Iowa basketball team. He arrived at Iowa in the 2017 recruiting class as a four-star recruit.
The former Iowa guard was a standout player on the court who also excelled academically, winning the team’s Academic Excellence Award five times.
According to Hawkeye Sports, Connor was also designated a three-time NABC Honors Court honoree, two-time Academic All-District First Team, two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, and five-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
He is Fran McCaffery’s son.
Fran McCaffery, the head basketball coach of the University of Iowa, has been Connor’s father for the past 14 years.
In February 2024, Fran stated to The Gazette, of himself and his longstanding coaching partner Tom Izzo, “We don’t know anything else.” “We entered the coaching field straight out of college and worked our way up.”
“You stay young when you spend your whole life with young people. Furthermore, my perspective on my work hasn’t changed since 1983. Although it may sound strange, such is the reality.
