NRL Casualty Ward: Dragons lose Suli; Jennings injures triceps
After taking a knock to the head during the opening tackle, Dragons center Moses Suli was ruled out of the ANZAC Day match against the Sydney Roosters.
As Suli attempted to tackle Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, the veteran Kiwi player returned the kickoff ball and sent Suli reeling from the forceful impact.

With Suli out of the picture, Jack de Belin started playing nearly immediately off the bench, with Tom Eisenhuth moving to left center.
Just before halftime, the Roosters lost seasoned center Michael Jennings to what appeared to be a triceps injury.
Jennings was declared out of the game during the half after leaving the field in the 39th minute while clutching his left arm.
Kalyn Ponga, the captain of the Knights, is anticipated to miss the next three months of play.
after having his foot surgically repaired in Sydney.
After Ponga sustained a Lisfranc injury in the Round 7 loss to the Bulldogs, the operation was finished on April 23. According to Knights director of football Peter Parr, the club currently anticipates losing Ponga for about 12 weeks.
“Everybody is happy with how [the surgery] progressed… he’ll play football again this year, so he’s very positive about that and that’s some good news for him,” Parr stated.
Better news: Dane Gagai, the center, will return to the Knights in Round 8 after missing the Bulldogs’ loss due to a calf injury.
Ahead of their customary match on ANZAC Day, the Roosters and Dragons have both lost players.
After the Dragons defeated the Warriors in Round 7, winger Mikaele Ravalawa had to leave the game late due to knee pain.
While scans have cleared the veteran winger of any major injuries, Daniel Tupou will also miss the Round 8 match due to a hyperextension injury to his knee, and Victor Radley has been sidelined due to a hamstring strain.
Due to injuries sustained in Round 7, the Broncos will be without center Selwyn Cobbo and playmaker Ezra Mam in ANZAC Round.
Mama will miss Saturday’s trip to face Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Sports Stadium due to a finger issue, while Cobbo has a shoulder complaint.
