SO DISRESPECTFUL : Pete Rose Finally Speaks Out Against the s Gambling
With the Cincinnati Reds off to a 4-2 start, some fans are wondering if 2024 will be “our time.” This week, Enquirer column contributor Dan Sewell pondered if Major League Baseball should eventually lift Reds great Pete Rose’s lifetime exile from the game. Sewell stated that the 83-year-old Rose should have the opportunity to see his induction into the Hall of Fame while he is still living for Reds fans. His more lenient attitude toward Rose’s banishment—which resulted from his baseball wagers—was one of this week’s most popular letters to the editor and opinion pieces.
It’s been much discussed whether or not to keep The Hit King banned, but what do you think? When will Rose be admitted to the Hall of Fame by the MLB?
Notoriety? Has he made amends, or was wagering on baseball an offense that could not be pardoned? Is Major League Baseball being hypocritical by keeping Rose off the field while developing ties to casinos and possibly considering moving the Oakland A’s team to Las Vegas?
Send me a letter or an opinion piece to let me know what you think.
