The news that Gary O’Neil would be missing numerous players due to injury has given a severe blow to Wolves’ preparations for Arsenal.
Tomorrow’s Premier League match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Gunners will take place at Molineux. The later kickoff time of 7.30 pm is when the game airs on Sky Sports.
Wolves don’t have any games this week, whereas Arsenal played in the UEFA Champions League. Bayern Munich defeated Mikel Arteta’s team in the quarterfinals.
Nonetheless, Wolves are the squad that is struggling with injury issues. O’Neil disclosed at his pregame press conference that two players might be demoted to bit parts and that five players will be missing out.
Nelson Semedo felt a tight hamstring at the end of the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest last week. The 30-year-old has now been ruled out of Saturday’s clash after being unable to overcome the problem.
Joining him on the absentee list is top scorer Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian international has 11 goals and six assists this season but with a calf injury sustained from the draw at the City Ground, he’s also ruled out. Cunha had only just returned to action after spending February and most of March out with a hamstring injury.
center-back Craig Dawson was in the matchday squad when he traveled to Nottingham last week, but he did not take the field. The former West Ham player is scheduled to have surgery to fix the issue after it was discovered that he had been playing through pain. It was also mentioned that he would need surgery.
Midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde hasn’t played since before the international break, so he is still unable to participate. Since his previous game, which was on March 9 against Fulham, he has missed four league games and the FA Cup loss to Coventry City. The management first said he would make a comeback during the Aston Villa match, but that hasn’t worked out.

The longest absences for the Wolves right now. Due to a catastrophic hamstring injury sustained last month against Fulham, the Portuguese international will be out until approximately mid-May.
- There may be two players available, Hwang Hee-chan and Rayan Ait-Nouri, but their playing time will be restricted. Hee-chan made his comeback to the game last week, substituting in following his recovery from a hamstring ailment. Ait-Nouri was scheduled to play versus Forest last week and was scheduled to travel to Nottingham; however, he was unable to participate.
