BREAKING NEWS: Trent Brown, Bengals Agree to SIGN 1-Year Contract in 2024 Free Agency
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that offensive tackle Trent Brown is poised to sign a one-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Injuries kept Brown to just 11 games with the New England Patriots in 2023, and there were moments when doubts about his devotion were raised. The 30-year-old gave excellent performances when fit and focused.
The 2019 Pro Bowler was ranked 19th overall among this year’s free agents by Bleacher Report.
“A dependable pass protector, Brown can anchor either side of the line if needed, and his versatility puts him at the top of an underwhelming overall class,” according to his scouting report.
The fact that Brown would only sign a one-year contract in the end seems to indicate some doubt about his ability to contribute to the team.
