former Ravens running back JK Dobbins will be visiting the Chiefs on Tuesday.
According to Schefter, the former Ohio State standout “is expected to have a home very soon” after visiting the Chargers last week.
Dobbins has had numerous injuries over the previous few seasons and is currently rehabbing from an Achilles tear. With a 2020 yard average of six yards per carry, he is obviously talented enough to be useful when healthy.
Should the Chiefs sign Dobbins, it may indicate that Clyde Edwards-Helaire, a former first-round choice, will sign with another team.
If the Bengals choose not to select a running back in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, it wouldn’t be astonishing to see them take a look at Edwards-Helaire.
“A lot of people in Indy seemed to think the reason the Bengals franchised Tee Higgins as early as they did was so they could trade him,” Graziano stated. “With a Ja’Marr Chase extension likely coming this offseason or next, Cincinnati might not be able to keep the band together around Joe Burrow much longer.”
If Higgins were a Bengals player on the franchise tag, he would earn $21.8 million in this season. Cincinnati would want to come to an agreement before the legal tampering period starts on March 11 at Noon ET, if they were interested in moving the 25-year-old. They may use the most cap space in free agency that way.set up. Even though a deal seems unlikely, never give up. The group that acquired Higgins would likewise prefer a long-term contract extension.
