Derry City FC is able to announce that Patrick McCourt, who served the team for eight years as a player, academy manager, and technical director, is leaving.
We would like to thank Patrick for his contribution to Derry City FC. After talking with him, he has decided that he would like to take on a new challenge outside of the club. We at the club hope Patrick’s future endeavors bring him all the success he deserves.
Chairman of Derry City FC Philip O’Doherty stated, “During his tenure at the club, Patrick has been a great servant to Derry City FC.” His presence at Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium will always be appreciated, and I personally want to thank him for his contributions to the team. I

Although the eight years I was employed at Derry City FC were among the best of my career, I believe that I should now seek a new challenge.
