Cowboys QB Dak Prescott files lawsuit against woman accusing him of sexual assault
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott filed a lawsuit on Monday against a lady who he believes attempted to demand $100 million from him.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Prescott filed a lawsuit in Collin County, Texas, against Victoria Shores and her attorneys, Bethel T. Zehaie and Yoel T. Zehaie. Prescott is suing Shores for $10 million in damages, alleging that she was sexually attacked by Prescott in 2017.
According to the publication, Shore’s charges were part of a letter that Prescott received in January and which described the trauma that Shore had experienced as a result of the claimed attack.
The letter stated, “Ms. Shores has had to live with this pain and trauma for seven years.” “It had such a profound effect on her relationship with her fiancé and her daily life that she needed to attend therapy and counseling and will continue to need therapy and counseling. She is willing to forgo filing for criminal charges and to make this information public in exchange for financial compensation for the mental suffering she has endured. The amount of Ms. Shores’ damages is estimated to be $100,000,000.
In the 11-page lawsuit, which also includes the quarterback’s counterclaim that Shore’s charges have caused him mental agony and pain and suffering, Prescott refuted Shore’s accusations, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Mr. Prescott was recently the target of an extortion scheme. The accused party Prescott’s lawyer, Levi McCarthern, released a statement saying, “and her legal team have threatened to go public with a completely fabricated story of sexual assault from nearly a decade ago and demanded that Mr. Prescott immediately pay $100 Million in exchange for her not pressing false charges with the authorities.”
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Prescott’s lawsuit claims that Shores and her lawyers are involved in a plot to demand money while being fully aware that he is about to negotiate a new contract with the Cowboys.
According to the publication, Prescott has reported the situation to the “appropriate authorities” and stated that he will donate any money obtained from the lawsuit to the Joyful Heart Foundation, which works to end child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
