Buffalo Bills re-sign TE Quintin Morris to one-year deal
Morris joined the Bills as an undrafted rookie free agent during the 2021 NFL season
The tight end Quintin Morris, who was scheduled to become a restricted free agency at the beginning of the new league year on Wednesday, March 14, was announced back by the Buffalo Bills late on Friday afternoon.
The two parties came to an arrangement on a new, one-year contract, which saw One Bills Drive forgo providing Morris a minimum salary as an Exclusive Rights Free Agent with just two accrued seasons in the NFL, according to Sal Capaccio, Bills beat and sideline reporter with WGR 550.
At the time this story was published, information regarding Morris’s one-year contract was unavailable.
After signing as an undrafted free agent following the 2021 NFL Draft, Morris has been a member of the Buffalo Bills. After serving on the team’s practice squad throughout his first season, Morris was added to Buffalo’s active roster for the 2022 NFL season. Morris significantly enhances the athletic profile of the Bills at tight end as a former wide receiver.
Morris has appeared in 29 games throughout his two seasons on the active roster, starting one of them. He has caught 10 passes on 14 targets for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
Morris comes in third behind Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox, the other two starting tight ends, but he contributes a lot as an athletic tight end who sees a lot of action on special teams.
Quintin Morris’ return enables the Buffalo Bills to keep Josh Allen, the team’s quarterback, and the tight ends room consistent.
