Winnipeg Blue Bombers Sign Record-Breaking Ohio State Receiver
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have the mindset that they will be better the more weapons they can provide quarterback Zach Collaros. On Monday, Winnipeg added K.J. Hill, a wide receiver, to their offensive roster.
After being selected in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Hill last played for the Los Angeles Chargers. He caught 10 receptions for 103 yards in two seasons. In 21 games, he also returned four kickoffs for 57 yards and eighteen punts for 124 yards.
Of all the wide receivers that played for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Hill had one of the better careers. With 183 receptions in 42 games, he became the program’s all-time leader in receptions. Hill had 2,070 yards as well Three seasons, nineteen touchdowns. In 2018 he had the most yards in a season (885), and in 2019 he scored the most touchdowns (ten).
With seventeen wide receivers, Winnipeg boasts one of the biggest rooms for CFL training camp. Kenny Lawler and Dalton Schoen lead an extremely strong position group.
