O’Neil could finally replace Neves in Wolves swoop for £7m ace
Before Christmas, the Old Gold have two games that they can win, but they will need to play at their very best if they want to take three points from Brentford and West Ham United.
Before the January transfer market opens, Gary O’Neil will be hoping to avoid any injuries over the upcoming games since it seems he has his eye on a fellow Premier League midfielder.
Josh Brownhill, a transfer for the Wolves
The Mirror claims that the Molineux team is planning a bid for Josh Brownhill, a midfielder for Burnley, during the January transfer window, and they may be able to get his signing for a reduced fee for around £7 million.
Despite his £20 million valuation, Wolves may be able to entice him for £7 million given the terms of his contract in the upcoming weeks.
How Ruben Neves and Josh Brownhill are comparable
The Portuguese jewel ended his six-season spell in the Midlands at Molineux this summer when he signed a £47 million agreement to join Al-Hilal.
After being promoted during the 2017–18 season, the midfielder helped the team become a reliable top-flight team by making over 250 appearances.
Neves scored six goals in the league last season, whereas Brownhill scored seven goals (although in the Championship) and grabbed eight assists. Going forward, the team needs players just like Brownhill.
