Justin Fields, a quarterback, recently had his greatest year to date. Even still, there are still reports that he won’t be playing for the Chicago Bears this summer. The quarterback broke the ice by declaring that he wanted to stay in Chicago in the middle of all the arguing.

If the Bears choose to negotiate Fields’ contract, teams like the Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, and possibly the New England Patriots would be vying for his services leading up to the April 25 draft.

Though Fields’ stats have been improving, it’s important to keep in mind that Chicago has the first and ninth overall selections this year, so there’s a high possibility the organization will let Fields go. The Bears would select Caleb Williams, who is regarded as the finest quarterback in this class, with their first choice.

The Ohio State alumnus had his finest season ever in terms of yards gained (2,562), passes completed (224), pass attempts (370), and rating (86.3). In addition, he beat his previous two years’ record in this area with just nine interceptions.

Fields wants what?
In a recent interview with “St. Brown Bros Podcast,” Fields stated, “I want to remain, of course. Although I am aware of the league’s dynamics, I cannot imagine myself playing somewhere else.”

During the conversation, the athlete acknowledged that he has no idea what the Bears have planned for him and that he has not received a call from anybody informing him of his contract’s potential outcomes.

Fields restated, “If it were up to me, I would stay in Chicago,” in the face of uncertainty. I adore the city. It’s illuminated in the city. There, the fans are fantastic. It’s a business, though. It’s beyond my control, therefore whatever transpires happens.”
